Block partners with WA Museum.

Block has been appointed by the Western Australian Museum to enhance the performance of its brand and raise awareness of its significant collections, research projects and public sites.

“The Western Australian Museum is an iconic institution with an incredibly passionate and engaged staff. We aim to improve the way brand is perceived and deliver a strong return on investment for the Museum,” said Mark Braddock, Creative Director at Block.

The Western Australian Museum manages museums at six sites across the State including Perth, Fremantle, Albany, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

The organisation is in an exciting period of change and evolution as it works toward a new museum for the State and is currently developing future plans for all its sites.

“We’ll be working closely with the Museum to improve the efficiency of its brand systems and processes while ensuring it remains one of the State’s most cherished cultural institutions,” said Mr Braddock.

Block is highly experienced in this area of brand strategy having worked with Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF), State Theatre Centre of Western Australia and EPRA (East Perth Redevelopment Authority) developing cohesive, effective brand architecture systems.

“In late 2008 Block conducted a comprehensive brand audit for Western Australian Museum and we were impressed by the robust nature of their recommendations. We’re delighted to be deepening our partnership with Block through this project. Together we hope to make a long-lasting impact on the strength and vitality of the Western Australian Museum’s brand,” said Diana Jones, Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Block has grown its client base significantly in 2009, winning new projects with Aroma, a national café franchise, Presbyterian Ladies College, Argyle Pink Diamonds and Primewest’s Times Square, a high-end retail fashion destination/outlet in Claremont.
